Job Title: Clinical Science Professional (Entry - Intermediate Level)

Job Summary:
The Psychiatry Research Innovations (PRI) is a research support center within the Department of Psychiatry that assists faculty members affiliated with 5 Divisions in the Department in areas related to research administration, operations, and education. Specifically, the candidate will be integrated into the PRI to provide research assistance including navigating regulatory submissions, setting up research databases, managing study protocols, recruiting and consenting study participants (in-person as well as remote), and others. Their extent of involvement in any of these research projects will be assigned by the supervisors as indicated below. This individual will be responsible for interacting with various faculty and staff in the department on multiple research projects, as well as in contact with study participants. The candidate should be organized, detail-oriented, professional in conduct, possess good inter-personal skills, a team player, and capable of managing their responsibilities with minimal supervision. This is a full-time (1.0 FTE) position.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist with study protocols to ensure regulatory compliance, including writing study regulatory documents (informed consent forms, study protocols and protocol application forms) as well as assisting with submissions to and interacting with COMIRB.
- Participate in clinical studies process including recruiting/enrolling study participants, obtaining informed consent, creating and maintaining study binders, collecting and managing data/study records, and reimbursing participants (on as needed basis as identified by respective PIs).
- Conduct chart reviews to extract pertinent data for studies.
- Create REDCap databases and performing data entries.
- Active participation in department, PRI-specific team and supervisory meetings, as well as attend PI/lab meetings for specific projects as needed.
- Assist in the creation of research recruitment materials and advertising campaigns.
- Work with PIs and other research staff to ensure various studies are performed according to University guidelines and meet regulatory compliance.
Work Location:
Hybrid - this role is eligible for a hybrid schedule of 2-3 days per week on campus and as needed for in-person meetings.

Qualifications:
Minimum Qualifications:
Entry Level:
- Bachelor's degree in any field.
- A combination of education and related technical/paraprofessional experience may be substituted for the bachelor's degree on a year for year basis.
Intermediate Level:
- Bachelor's degree in any field.
- A combination of education and related technical/paraprofessional experience may be substituted for the bachelor's degree on a year for year basis.
- One (1) year clinical research or related experience.
Applicants must meet minimum qualifications at the time of hire.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in science or health related field.
- One (1) to two (2) years of clinical research or related experience.
- Experience working on research studies involving human participants.
- Experience with electronic data capture systems (e.g. EMR or EHR and data management systems).
- Experience with building and maintaining REDCap databases for study data collection as well as regulatory monitoring.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Knowledge and understanding of federal regulations and Good Clinical Practice (GCP).

Anticipated Pay Range:
The starting salary range (or hiring range) for this position has been established as:
Entry Level: $47,743 - $60,729
Intermediate Level: $51,956 - $66,088
The above salary range (or hiring range) represents the University's good faith and reasonable estimate of the range of possible compensation at the time of posting. This position may be eligible for overtime compensation, depending on the level.
